On August 19, Igor Belov, founder of the group of military-tech companies L7, became a guest of the morning show “Today. Morning” on Ukrainian radio. On the air, he shared his vision of the development of military simulators and their role in the preparation of the Armed Forces.

Igor emphasized that modern warfare is becoming more technological, and this is changing the very approach to training fighters. In addition to physical skills, they desperately need intellectual qualities that can be worked out on simulators.

“Now we are building a battle simulator where all kinds and types of troops can join to be trained in the same digital environment — in terms of fire training, tactical elements, coordination and more. This will allow you to reproduce complex battle scenarios that cannot be worked out at the training ground.”— he pointed out.

Founder of the L7 group of military-tech companies emphasized the importance of maximum realism: hard weapon layouts that fully correspond to combat counterparts, combined with ballistics mathematics create a feeling that is as close as possible to real combat. At the same time, training on simulators allows you to significantly save resources: a shot from “Stinger” or “Javelin” costs tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, while in a virtual environment this knowledge can be obtained without risk and expense.

Separately, Igor Belov mentioned the latest development of the company “Dronobie” - a mobile simulator for practicing shooting at FPV drones.

“You need to have a high-level response to shoot down these drones. I believe that such a simulator should be in every mouth. It is quite easy to use, inexpensive and mobile. That is, you can deploy it anywhere in 10 minutes and train”,” he said.

According to Igor Belov, the demand for military simulators will only grow. Over the past year, L7 has supplied the military with more than 1,000 units of simulators, but the army's needs remain much higher.

“I think the coming war is a war of robots, robotic systems. And managing them is a process that can be recreated digitally. So I think that behind simulators is the future of training”,— summed up Igor Belov.
