Founder of the group of military-tech companies L7 Igor Belovpublished on 24 Channel a column “From military gaming to combat readiness: why simulators are not a toy, but a necessity”. The article explains why simulation complexes have become a critical component of military training and why Ukraine has the potential to become a world leader in their use.
Main theses of the column:
● Simulators are an operationalbypass. They allow training without risks for personnel, model hundreds of realistic scenarios and save expensive resources — equipment ammunition.
● The difference between a game of tatrenager. Gaming builds initial technical skills, but simulators work with behavioral models, procedural logic, and realistic ballistics—that is, with what saves lives on the battlefield.
● Speed and scalability of training. In the conditions of war, Ukraine has to train tens of thousands of servicemen. Mobile simulators allow you to organize parallel training cyclesalmost anywhere — from shelter to modern training center.
● Economic feasibility. A single ATK or PZRK shot can cost tens of thousands of dollars. In the simulator, prices can be worked out hundreds of times without loss of resource.
● Advantage of Ukraine. The combination of combat experience, an active esports community and a favorable ecosystem of startups creates unique conditions for the development of the national militarysimulation sector.
● The future of military education. In the next 5-10 years, the first stages of training in the world's armies will be transferred to digital environments, and simulators will become a basic part of the training center standards.
“We're not building a game. We are creating a tool that has one goal — to make our fighters prepared. In the coming years, simulators will become the base around which new standards of military education will be built,” Ihor Belov emphasizes.
