The head of the miltech group L7, includingdevelopers of firefight simulators, Elena Dushyna published an author's column on dev.ua. In the material, she explains why the personnel crisis in the defenseindustry threatens not only the pace of production, but also the technological superiority of Ukraine.
Main theses of the column:
● The personnel crisis is systemic. According to the European Business Association, 60% of employers in Ukraine are already facing a shortage of specialists. This is especially noticeable in manufacturing, engineering, IT andR&D.
● Miltech in focus. The demand fordevelopers, engineers and testers is growing many times, but there is still no systemwide training of such specialists.
● War requires new models. If the market cannot provide qualified specialists, companies must create conditions for their training. L7 has already launched internal adaptation programs and is preparing the Academy for the L7 United base.
● Structural changes. The market needs targeted educational tracks, veteran adaptation programs, alliances with universities and manufacturers.
● The role of the state. Ukraine can use international incentive models: tax incentives for companies that invest in training, dual education, retraining programs for veterans, creation of state training hubs.
“When we talk about attracting new specialists in the field of miltech, it is not just about closing vacancies, but the ability to act quickly, learn and transfer knowledge in a scalable form.”— emphasizes Elena Dushyna.
